Radiant Tube Heaters

How Does a Radiant Tube Heater Work?

Radiant tube heaters, or Infrared heaters, heat similar to the rays of the sun, warming the surface of the earth. As the sun shines on the earth, infrared rays are absorbed by objects and people. With people and objects saving the absorbed heat, additional heat is released back into the space through radiation. Just like pavement or a rock that has been heated by the sun, it gives off radiant heat when the sun goes away. This is the same type of heat the radiant tube heaters emit.

Efficient Garage Heaters

Gas-fired heaters produce infrared waves which heat objects in the space, rather than the air and are relatively quieter than most heaters. Gas-fired heaters deliver not only warm dry floors, quiet draft-free heat, but also consume 30-40% less fuel than forced air heaters!

Garages are becoming more than a place to park the car. Many people operate, home based businesses from them. They are a great place for pets and warm storage. Garages are becoming more than the man cave, but are even known to be gathering points for neighbourhood events.

An additional benefit of heating your garage is that rooms located above or adjacent to a heated garage feel warmer and more comfortable. Radiant tube heaters are easy to install in practically any garage.
